The Hardy Boyz v John Morrison and The MizMatt Hardy acts as a springboard as Jeff Hardy hits The Miz with Poetry in Motion
The superstars of the PSI brand wasted no time with formalities of their very first episode, getting into action with a tag-team match. The Hardy Boyz — brothers Jeff and Matt Hardy, faced off against the team of John Morrison and The Miz. While the two winners would advance to the second round of a tournament to crown the first ever PSI Champion; it was clear that both teams had their focus on the match in front of them, rather than looking to a teammate-vs-teammate matchup next week. While The Hardy Boyz got off to a quick start, The Miz and John Morrison soon grounded the high-flyers. However, after Matt Hardy began to regain momentum for his team, John Morrison tried to drag The Miz to the corner to make a tag; causing a four-way brawl that soon spilled to the outside. In the midst of the chaos, the referee within the ring reached a count of ten; waving off both teams for a double count-out.

Tommy Dreamer clears the air Backstage, Tommy Dreamer was confronted by both teams, and decided the fairest choice was to disqualify both from the tournament. While both teams expressed their frustration, Dreamer revealed to them a silver lining — he had just commissioned a tornado-tag rematch for both teams, with the winner going on to challenge for the the Alpha Tag-Team Championships against a team from the Delta brand at Hunted. In the meantime - two new first-round matches would take place, with the winners moving on to the second round of the PSI Championship tournament next week.

Cody Rhodes v Drew McIntyreMcIntyre prepares to seal the deal with a Future Shock DDT
With The Hardy Boyz, John Morrison and The Miz out of the PSI Championship picture, a golden opportunity presented itself for both “The Chosen One” and the second-generation talent. Though the ALPHA fans were clearly behind Cody’s endeavours for the title, this only seemed to fuel the rage within McIntyre, with the Scot unleashing hellacious boots to the face of Rhodes. With Cody seemingly on the ropes, McIntyre looked ready to seal the deal with the Future Shock DDT. However, Rhodes seemed to stir at the right moment, spinning out of the manoeuvre to plant McIntyre with the Cross Rhodes and score an upset victory. Rhodes will have to wait until later in the night to see if he will need to carry forward his momentum against CM Punk or Randy Orton next week.

Evan Bourne v The Big ShowThe high-flying Evan Bourne wasn't prepared for the heights of a Gorilla Press Slam from the World's Largest Athlete!
It was clear that being “Plan B” for the PSI Championship tournament did not sit well with The Big Show. Despite Bourne trying to get in some offence using his speed and agility, The giant made quick work of this David vs Goliath match-up, landing a knockout punch mere minutes after the match began. But The Big Show wasn’t finished yet. He only made it halfway up the ramp before he decided to send a message to his future competition; turning back and assaulting Evan Bourne with a massive choke-slam. One thing is for sure — The Big Show is not someone to be overlooked again!

CM Punk v Randy OrtonRandy Orton looks to put his opponent away with a DDT from the middle rope
The first-round match-up between The Second City Saint and The Viper was viewed as one to not miss. Both corners held decorated wrestlers — one who made his name on the independent circuit, the other a third-generation talent with a mean streak. From the first bell, both wrestlers traded strikes — punches for Orton and Muay-Thai kicks for Punk — and grappled on the mat.
After kicking out of a middle-rope DDT, it looked like Punk had the endurance to make it through. Yet the Viper awoke at the right moment, catching his opponent with a vicious RKO, and staking his claim for the second round of the PSI Championship tournament.

Edge vows to walk out a champion With just one match left in the first round of the PSI Championship Tournament, The Rated R Superstar made it clear that despite the impressiveness of The Big Show earlier tonight, he would be walking out of Hunted with gold around his waist; no matter the cost. He was interrupted by Triple H. The Game had some stern words for his opponent, warning him that there was a “long, long way to go” before Edge will reach his championship dreams.

Edge v Triple HEdge stalks Triple H, preparing to hit him with a spear!
The first PSI main event did not disappoint, with The Game facing The Ultimate Opportunist for a second-round berth in the PSI Championship tournament. While Triple H looked strong in the opening minutes, the tables soon turned in Edge’s favour. The Rated R Superstar showed he had been studying his opponent, wearing down Triple H’s legs in the Edgecator submission hold; knowing full-well Triple H’s quadricep injury history.
Sensing an opening, Edge retreated to the corner, ready to pounce with a spear. But the veteran presence of Triple H alerted him to the danger, catching Edge with a Spinebuster and then finishing him off with a Pedigree. Having defeated Edge, can The Game overcome The Big Show next week to advance to the PSI Championship match at Hunted?
